I was super inspired from a podcast recently from Arnold Schwarzenneger. He talked about how the basics is the magic pill to success.

In the ever-evolving world of fitness and nutrition, it’s easy to get caught up in the latest trends and fads. We are focused on the habit of finding the next best thing instead of the habit of doing the basics. From the latest supplement to the hottest workout routines, there’s always something new promising rapid results. Social media loves to scare us with stats. So we avoid seed oils, or don't eat for 2 days, or try a supplement hoping to magically get results. We are caught up in focusing on the 1% when we are missing the remaining 99% hoping something will stick.

If you aren't doing the basics... why are you worried about optimizing anything? (Schwarzenneger)

If we aren't eating Balancing our Nutrition with a focus on consuming a variety of whole foods—lean proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates and choosing the quick fix, the bar, the packaged ramen, the wings and fries on a Friday... you're digging a hole of excuses.

Consistency is Key

Consistency trumps perfection. You don’t need to eat perfectly or work out intensely every day to see results. What matters is sticking to a routine that works for you, day in and day out. I know people harp on me for eating "boring", but "boring works". When I prep my meals on Sunday for breakfast and lunch, I'm not thinking about what comes next. Grab and go. Relieve the overwhelm!

Movement

Exercise doesn’t have to be complicated. The key is to find an activity you enjoy, so it becomes a regular part of your routine. A blend of cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises to keep your body strong and resilient. The 28 day ab routine, isn't going to build you abs... I mean... there's no doubt you will strengthen your core, but simple, compound exercises are PROVEN to build more muscle and burn more calories. Trade the weird side leg cable raise for a back squat. That's how you will build your booty.

Sleep and Hydration

Never underestimate the power of good sleep and staying hydrated. Both are often overlooked but are essential to your weight loss journey. Proper sleep helps regulate hormones that control hunger, while hydration keeps your metabolism running smoothly.
