I used to think I was living a super healthy life—eating fruits, vegetables, and lean protein, working out regularly with runs, boxercise, and bootcamps. An active lifestyle was my norm, yet something felt off.

 

The Wake-Up Call

 

Despite all my efforts, I wasn’t seeing the results I expected. I didn’t feel successful, and I certainly didn’t have the body I thought I should have. My choices were just bandaids, masking bad habits and coping with life’s stresses. My workouts were punishments for overindulging, and my eating habits were erratic—fasting for 22 hours or binging on junk food all weekend.

 

No matter what I tried—Keto, fasting, juice cleanses—I was stuck in a cycle of frustration and disappointment. I spent a lot of money searching for that “magic pill” to give me the body of my dreams, but nothing worked.

The real issue wasn’t my exercise routine or even my diet—it was my mindset and habits. I was overwhelmed, stressed, and burnt out. I didn’t have healthy boundaries, and I lacked a clear understanding of nutrition and portion control. More importantly, I carried a lot of shame and insecurity about my self-image, and I didn’t feel worthy of change.
